Reading

Much of the time at school during the primary years is spent teaching kids to read. In the Intermediate years, this skill is built upon and also used to further learning. When a child is not reading at grade level by the end of grade three, chances increase that they will struggle and perhaps not finish high school. WE NEED ALL PARENTS TO HELP TEACH THEIR CHILD TO READ. The habit of twenty minutes of nightly practice WILL make a big difference. The picture below shows why. Please get in to the habit of reading to your child or when they become readers have them read to you. It will make a positive difference.
